is a May 2024 graduate of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, with a BFA in Production Design for Film. Growing up between small towns in Illinois and Arkansas, they found escape in all kinds of art, including live action and stop motion filmmaking, drawing, and painting. They have a specific interest in Set Decoration and Production Design and find themself gravitating toward highly theatrical and extravagant period pieces and whimsical fantasy worlds.
Leela loves to dig deep and do a lot of research for their productions, searching for niche details from different styles and time periods to create new and visually exciting worlds. They are particularly inspired by the intricate period work of Production Designer Sarah Greenwood. They have practiced in every aspect of the Art Department, from Production Design to Construction, and thrive in heavily creative and story-motivated roles.
