Fabrication Process
The train benches were made from repurposed school bus seats. Myself and my Set Decorator cleaned them, added matting, and sewed custom sleeves to fit over the benches. We then made skirts out of floral pleather to cover the legs and added gold trim around the seam. This was done for six total benches
Myself and the Director of Photography wanted pink tinted practicals. Tinted glass wasn't fitting in our budget so we bought standard shades and mixed Elmers glue with pink acrylic paint and painted the inside of the shades. This also covered the shape of the bulbs in sconces.
After seeing the white table cloths, I wanted to break up the color. I had trouble finding table runners that fit the color scheme, so we dyed these white runners with RIT dyemore, then coffee stained them to mute the color.
